What is the Saudi National Day?
The Saudi National Day is the annual occasion celebrated on 23 September to commemorate the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by its founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, in 1932.
Before this historic date, the territory of the present-day Kingdom was divided into distinct regions—Najd, Hejaz, Al-Ahsa, and Asir. After more than thirty years of effort, King Abdulaziz successfully unified them under a single name: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
This celebration is not merely about geographical borders; it marks the birth of a nation, an identity, and a people who have gained a recognized voice and presence on the world stage.
When was the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia unified?
The unification of the Kingdom was officially declared on 17 Jumada Al-Awwal 1351 AH, corresponding to 23 September 1932, through Royal Decree No. 2716.
This landmark decision reshaped history by merging the diverse regions of the Arabian Peninsula into one strong and independent nation, with its own political, economic, and social system.
For this reason, this date remains deeply cherished in the hearts of Saudis and stands as one of the most important symbols of national pride and unity.
Just as Saudi Arabia came together as one nation on this historic day, Inovasys unites innovative services and transformative solutions—driving digital transformation to empower businesses and inspire a future as strong and connected as the Kingdom itself.
